Bourbon Problems, First World Problems, Obvi

The other night I went to pour myself a dram of The latest ECBP #9 135.6 and I ripped the plastic cap right off of the cork…

This is a common occurrence for me, all Elijah Craig Corks/Plastic caps are garbage. I often break the plastic cap off when pulling the cork out of EC bottles…

Regardless, if the cork stays intact,  many times the cork loosely fits in the bottleneck opening, it just wiggles around, letting air into my beloved bottles….

Great bourbons, horrible corks, please go the OGD 114 route or something Heaven Hill, you're better than that…..

That being said, I super glued the plastic cap back onto the cork, after assuming the glue dried after and hour I put it back into the bottle, after a few days I grabbed my bottle again to pour another dram, and the damn thing was stuck to the bottle…

Apparently an hour wasn't long enough to dry and seal the plastic top and cork together, un-lucky for me the super glue sealed itself to the glass, warranting a trip to the hardware store for a super aggressive x-acto saw to sheer it off..

Heaven Hill, please new corks, I can't be alone in this?!?!?!

Bourbon problems, first world problems, obvi...

Cheers and Happy Hunting,
